Files Not Syncing
Testing to see if changes sync into FreshService
If files/OneNote are not syncing, the shared drive has disconnected.
-
Open File Explorer and dropdown This PC. The Shared (I:) will have a red x by it.
![]()
-
Click on the Shared (I:) to reconnect the drive which will restore syncing. It should turn from red to green.

-
Open from the start menu (click the start menu and start typing) Manage Work Folders

-
You’ll see something like this:

-
If all is NOT well, there's likely a file that cannot sync because it is open, has been moved, has been deleted, or has been renamed. Expand the status by double-clicking on the separator between the Status and Path columns. NOTE: if the error is different, proceed to step 7.

-
Here, syncing has failed because the file is in use. Scroll over to see the location of the file.

-
With OneNote closed, click Sync now. Depending on how many files are in Work Folders and the network connection, this may take some time, overnight even.

-
Files have synced with no errors. We’re good to go.

Close Manage Work Folders.
